Broodthaers Society of America
Catalogue des Monnaies
Number 143 of 300 numbered copies. Published and accompanied in an exhibition of eight original drawings by Broodthaers from 1971 in which he made graphite and colored pencil rubbings of various coins. A real stretch, this book, with it's faux snakeskin cover and its church bulletin-cheap text pages. We think that Broodthaers would have liked the idea of posthumous artworks—especially his own. The drawings are worth seeing, but the book lacks the requisite attention to detail.
Antwerp: Galerie Ronnie Van de Velde, 1992. Illustrated, n.p. German, French, and English.
