MTL, 13/3/70 - 10/4/70

This is the catalogue to Broodthaers' most hard core exhibition. It is a poetically bleak and exacting account of every scrap of correspondence and material objects that comprised the terms and evidence of the show, including the contents of a folder that was not to be opened under any circumstances. Part detective story, part tax audit, and part last will and testament, Broodthaers' tempting of fate demonstrated how deadly—literally—the ethos of echt Conceptual Art could be. He at least managed to survive de polizei, FPS Finances, and being lumped in with Conceptual Art.
